Me too. The assumptions might work for a non-social fast-breeding pest like bacteria but they sure don't hold for termites. Dropping from 5,000 to 3,000 in an hour isn't growth. If you assumed a constant trend, they be all gone in a few hours. Are you sure you read it right?
