Do severe stomach aches mean i might be starting labor?

This is my first kid and I am going to be 40 weeks on Tuesday I have no idea what my contractions will feel like. Im having horrible stomach ache like pains but I'm not constipated. And my stomach isn't tightening much so I don't think its contractions. But could it be the beginning of labor?
