Severe Ankle Pain and Injury?

2 weeks ago today me and my mom were playing catch and i fell off a curb. we went to the hospital and they did an x ray and said it wasnt broken but i could have some ligament damage or something and to go to an orthopedist if not better. i was on crutches for about 3 days and then i was able to walk a little bit so i did and for a week it was like a 5 on the scale to 1-10 and now its like an 8. when i move it up and down the pain goes from the ankle bone on the right to the one on the left and the pain goes around to my achilles heel and it hurts really bad and when i move it side to side it feel like its gonna burst. please can someone explain this to me and should i see the orthopedist
